2. Drive approximately 90 minutes to Chilpik Kala, also known as the Tower of Silence, used by Zoroastrians for exposure of the dead. Bodies were left under the open sky for birds, then collected into clay or stone ossuaries. Constructed in the first centuries CE, it was rebuilt in the 7th–8th centuries. The circular high-walled enclosure sits on an isolated peak overlooking the Amudarya River, offering spectacular views and a unique glimpse into ancient funerary traditions.

3. After 30 minutes’ drive, arrive at Karakalpak State Museum of Art (Nukus Museum). Spend 1–2 hours exploring its world-famous collection of Russian and Soviet avant-garde paintings, assembled by Igor Savitsky, an eccentric Ukrainian artist invited to work in Nukus. The museum provides an unparalleled cultural experience in Central Asia.

4. For lunch in Nukus City, recommended options include Cinnamon Café (in front of the museum), Premier Lounge, Karakalpagim for local cuisine, or Neo Restaurant. Visitors can also opt for lunch later near other attractions.

5. Drive about 1 hour to Mizdakhan Necropolis, a vast complex where visitors are advised to spend around 1 hour sightseeing. Established in the Early Antique period and active through the medieval era up to the 14th century, it was mentioned by Persian historians and Arab geographers in the 10th century. The necropolis spans three hills and includes a citadel, outer town, and burial sites, with the oldest settlement on the west hill dating to the 4th century BCE.

6. After visiting Mizdakhan Necropolis, return 3 hours to Khiva or Urgench. Drop-off options include your hotel, Urgench Airport, or Khiva/Urgench Train Stations.
